Tea~Time started as a dream, or as some say a persistent passion. After a long career in healthcare, owner Vicki decided it was time to move forward, take a risk and pursue some of those inner passions that were bursting to come out. A pursuit of purpose that continued to serve people, but just in a different capacity. One thing Vicki always looked forward to was hosting events of the church in her home. Making little finger foods, sweets and treats eagerly volunteering for the next event. You got it! A passion, a gift an inner drive that brought her to life.
So a few years back, we started our search to host parties in our beautiful downtown Monroe. We looked at several places and landed at 126 West Highland in March of 2021. It was a rugged looking building that did not smell well at all, but a vision was born. Anyone who passed by can testify that an extensive painstaking transformation took place. Then one day, Tea~Time at the Cottage came to life. Whoever said that a vision or a passion is fulfilled quickly, is mistaken. I believe true passion is an ambition. An ambition that takes much heart, mind, body and soul in order to finally materialize. Well, I am thrilled to announce, that the party is about ready to start. The host is looking forward to serving once again. A pleasing variety of miniature savories and delights displayed beautifully on a tiered stand await each guest. Every item served is made within the four walls of that little gingerbread house. Much love, time and passion goes into the details of each one of those little treats. So in order to offer you the perfect tea experience, it is necessary to book a reservation at least 48 hours in advance. We are pleased to invite you to come on in, sit back and indulge yourself on a cherished English Traditional Afternoon Tea with an American made touch.
